Coming from the airport (SJU)?
It's about 35 minutes and 24 miles (39 km) in light traffic. Take PR-22 West to exit 22A, then PR-165 into Dorado. Turn left onto Calle Méndez Vigo, pass the town square on your right, and continue from step 2 of the route from the town square.
PR-22 is a toll road. Ask your rental car company how tolls are paid.
Your Airbnb confirmation also includes the full address and check-in details.
Step by step from the town square
- Start at Plaza Pública, Dorado's town square, by the San Antonio de Padua church. Take Calle Méndez Vigo (PR-693), the street along the south side of the plaza, heading away from the church.
- After about 800 m, turn right onto Av. Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos (PR-698). If you pass McDonald's on your right, you've gone a little too far.
- Stay on PR-698 for about 900 m, past Boston Scientific on your right. Where the road curves right, take the first left, Calle Central, then after 60 m turn left again onto Calle Kennedy.
- Follow Calle Kennedy as it curves right and continue about 0.6 mi (1 km), with the golf course on your left. Dorado Beach Studios is on your right.

Beaches in Dorado Five beaches, each its own kind of day.
Dorado's coast changes every few minutes, and you're close to all of it: a calm swimming beach, surf breaks, a quiet little beach and a wild corner for photos.
Swimming · Families
Balneario Manuel "Nolo" Morales
Dorado's public beach, and the easy choice with children. A roped-off swimming area, lifeguards, showers, bathrooms and gated parking, with water quality monitored. Juan's favorite stretch is by the fishermen's villas, with plenty of restaurants nearby.
Surf · Windsurf
Playa Sardinera
The open stretch beside the balneario. No facilities and a stronger tide, which is exactly why the surfers and windsurfers go there instead.
Surf · Relaxing
Kikita Beach
Very close to the studios. Great for surfing, and just as good for a quiet, relaxing afternoon.
Calm · Quiet
La Pocita de Mameyal
A small, beautiful beach a short walk from the studios, with a gazebo. Cozy, peaceful and rarely crowded.
Walking · Photos
Ojo del Buey
The "ox's eye", named for the famous rock formation where the river meets the sea. Spectacular views, trails along the riverbank and a small hidden natural pool. Better for photos and walks than for swimming in the open sea.
All in Dorado, minutes from the studios. The access gate for La Pocita and Kikita closes at 6:00 PM. Ask us which one suits the day.
